Flora Europaea perennial, H, 2n=30, diploid mesoxeric, calciphyle, saxicole, uppernemoral belt Carpathian-Balkan-Euxinic Micromerion banaticum, Seslerion rigidae, Stipio pulcherrimae - Festucetalia pallentis, Asplenio-Syringetum (the latter only in Banat Carpathians) R3401-3403, 3410, 3412 habitats       One of the most characteristic species of the low altitude calcareous mountains in the Carpathians, especially the Apuseni Mountains and western Meridional Carpathians, much rare in the rest.
